The following Letter was sent to the Jewish Federation's existing donors on September 20, 2016.

Helping Today — Securing Tomorrow

Your High Holy Day gift can help today and secure tomorrow.

Just ask the kid down the block, who can now go to Jewish summer camp for the first time. Or the Ethiopian-Israeli who is about to finish high school. Or the religious school teacher who learned the skills to help her students with special needs.

All this because of your gift.

When you give to this year’s Community Campaign, together, we can do so much: engage families, care for the vulnerable, and build Jewish community for years to come.

We can connect families to Jewish life by supporting preschools, day schools, and midrashot. We can advocate for Israel on college campuses and in city council meetings. We can help Jews to flee anti-Semitism and start new lives in Israel.

And we can’t do it without you. We make a difference because of the generosity you demonstrate each year by your gif to Federation.

Your gift will help Holocaust survivors remain in their homes. It will send a group of East Bay young adults on a Birthright trip. And it will connect families to meaningful Jewish experiences.

Your gift will build a secure tomorrow for Jews all over the world.

Shana Tova,

Nathan Petrowsky, Development Chair, Federation
Rabbi James Brandt, CEO

P.S. Please give what you can, and help us take action — here in the East Bay, in Israel, and around the world.
